Why is quality content and frequent posting important?

Due to ongoing changes within the digital marketing industry and the algorithmic updates from Google over the past few years, proper content creation and marketing could now be considered as the new SEO.

By having remarkable and shareable content on your website, you will be perceived as more relevant than your competition and develop an authoritative presence within your own industry/niche; thus becoming more effective and successful.

To fully understand the importance of great content, you only need to take a look at Google’s Webmaster Guidelines:

“Make sure that your site adds value. Provide unique and relevant content that gives users a reason to visit your site first.”

There are three (3) main reasons why quality content/blogging is SO important:
  1. It increases the amount of traffic and rankings for your website
  2. Attracts more qualified and targeted leads through referrals
  3. Encourages sharing and social engagement

Increase Traffic & Rankings For Your Website
Google’s algorithms are now so incredibly sophisticated that they are now able to detect how frequently content is added to a website. Now, in addition to the quality and quantity of your content, the major search engines are also rewarding high SERP rankings for how often you are contributing. When a remarkable piece of content is shared through a website or blog, the creator inevitably come across as an industry expert, which will not only keep visitors returning to your site/blog, but can also turn these readers into potential customers.

Attracting Qualified & Targeted Leads
A great way to gain natural, organic backlinks to your site is to offer content that other people within your industry and/or niche would want to link to as well. Providing link bait like this an excellent way to optimize your site for search and establish your self as an expert, or someone who is up to date on all of the current trends, etc.

Encourage Sharing & Social Engagement
When you share content or give away any free value, it allows your business to build trust with its readers. After all, you’re providing them with industry tips and information… For FREE!

The difference between online and offline SEO

There are actually quite a few differences between the two. However, SEOs in the Internet Marketing industry typically refer to each respective form of optimization as on-site and off-site.

SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is bisected into two separate parts: on-site and off-site optimization. With on-site optimization, you make adjustments ON your website that will benefit it’s rankings, traffic, etc. With off-site optimization, you do something FOR your website (on other sites) that helps boost rankings, generate traffic, etc.

On-Site SEO
On-site or On-page optimization consists of such things as editing the meta tags, heading tags, images, page title, URL structure and regularly adding relevant and unique content. This is something that you may want to discuss with your Webmaster or hire a team of professionals to handle all of the different aspects to ensure everything has been implemented correctly.

Off-Site SEO
Some examples of off-site or off-page optimization are social bookmarking, forum posting, blog commenting, directory submissions, article submissions, press release submissions and posting regularly about your brand/market and your services on all of the various social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Pinterest, Instagram, etc.).

Online Marketing Philosophy
Internet users, and hence all people in general are becoming more and more “search-based” when it comes to finding answers to their questions or solutions to their problems. The vast majority of people actually make a conscious decision to go online to search for something that they want.

By optimizing your site to contain the keywords that your customers are searching for, and by making sure that your site is continuously updated with fresh and original content that contains said keywords, your website will start to show up in front of the right people at the right time.

Instead of YOU working hard trying to find THEM, it is exactly opposite! Furthermore, these visitors will be the most targeted and qualified leads a business could ever dream of having.

The difference between on-site and off-site optimization has just as much to do with WHAT the work actually is as it does with WHERE the work takes place.
